After you finish her studies in obstetrics, I would be able to perform as a midwife clinic in a public hospital in the city of Santiago, working in the area of obstetrics, in order to help women in labor. This task as a health care professional will serve me in the future to develop in what I really want to do. Unfortunately for the work in the public system complications, such as timetables, as it works with rotating shifts day and night.
Later I would like to work in a CESFAM (family health center), making home visits, prenatal care, helping women and their partners in family planning or performing ultrasounds. This schedule is more favorable than in the above context, since it is flexible and usually works Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, so it could perform other activities, as a graduate in nutrition or child and adolescent clinical psychology, and various courses relating mainly to obstetrics (since in this area there is no specialization), such as humanized childbirth classes or ultrasound.
Besides the above, my biggest goal for the future is to attend home births humanized, where it empowers the mother of his condition and can be performed in an atmosphere of intimacy, in which predominates the family environment, and I be like midwife support in this very beautiful process. In this situation, the schedule is more complicated, because you can not set a time after the birth to happen, but I personally will be very satisfactory.
